Voilà came out of what we saw at work, every weekend.
Samy has been a wedding photographer for 10 years. Carmen works as a make-up artist and bridal stylist. Between us, we've been present at hundreds of weddings — and we kept seeing the same thing: the photographer captures the big moments, but everything guests capture on their own phones — the in-between moments, the reactions, the laughter at the next table — scatters across WhatsApp groups and gets lost within days.
The gap between us was the idea.
One of us behind the lens, one of us beside the bride — together we kept running into the same missing piece: a simple, elegant way for every guest to contribute what they saw, without an app, without a login, and without it ever getting lost in a chat. So we built the tool we wished existed at every wedding we worked.
Voilà is run by us as a married couple — developed with ❤️ in the Black Forest near Karlsruhe, Germany — registered as IT'S WEDDING.
